Set of 2 Basket Chairs Designed in 1951 by Swiss Designer Gian Franco Legler

Set of two basket chairs designed in 1951 by Swiss designer Gian Franco Legler for the Basket restaurant in Italy. This lightweight wicker chair with a steel frame and ergonomic seat- arm- and backrest in hand-woven rattan was ideal for use both in and outdoors. This chair received the "Good Design Award" by the Museum of Modern Art New York (MOMA) in 1953. The wicker is in good condition and has no breaks.
