Set Of 6 Cor Alons For Gouda Den Boer Plywood Dining Chairs, Netherlands 1950

This set of six dining room chairs was designed by Cor Alons in collaboration with J.C. Jansen for Den Boer’s furniture factories N.V. Gouda in 1948, Netherlands.
 
True Dutch design classics and a Fine example how post-war Dutch furniture evolved with new ideas and unlike his early designs, these chairs has a smooth lines. The legs of the chair consist of different layers of bent birch plywood and creates a round, organic shape. Seating is covered in blue wool fabric.
