Wall Unit or Bookcase by William Watting for Scan Flex, Danish Design, 1950

Danish modern wall unit by William Watting for Scanflex, Denmark 1950. Elegant bookcase designed by American designer William Watting. Watting worked for several companies such as the Dutch Fristho and the Danish Michael Laursen, which worked with Hans Wegner an Illum Wikkelsø. This shelving system was produced by the Danish company Scanflex in 1950. It features a ingenious system for attaching the shelves to the risers. It has 4 shelves which can be used as a bookcase. Whole system is made of teak. System has to be attached to wall with only two screws at the top.
